本部分规定了锂离子蓄电池安全检测要求和其他相关要求。本部分规定了锂离子蓄电池的安全性的最低要求和相应的测试方法。本部分涉及化学领域内的锂离子蓄电池，放电过程中每一个电化学对具有特定的放电电压范围以及典型的标称电压和放电终止电压。为避免混淆，锂蓄电池组的检测不在本部的范围内。本部分适用于锂离子蓄电池安全检测要求的检测
