GB/T 20935的本部分给出了利用电磁超声换能器(EMAT)进行特定超声检测的原理概述、意义和用途，并规定了应用条件、设备、校验、检测方法、结果判定和检测报告。本部分适用于使用者认为采用电磁超声换能器技术优于传统压电技术的场合;不适用于传统技术更具优势的场合。本部分适用于可由电磁方法产生声波的所有材料，包括铁磁性或非铁磁性金属材料
