本文件规定了铁路机车车辆用新制成品整体车轮（简称车轮）残余应力电磁超声检测的术语和定义、方法概述、检测人员、检测设备、声弹性系数标定、检测步骤、验收和检测记录。本文件适用于车轮踏面下轮辋内的周向残余压应力分布的检测。本文件规定的方法不能替代采用切割释放法对轮辋残余应力分布的测量，除非能够证明应用本方法得到的结果与切割释放法获得的分布值相同。
