T/ZZB 1554的本部分规定了额定电压500 kV（Um=550 kV）交联聚乙烯绝缘大长度交流海底电缆的型号、材料、技术要求、试验、验收规则、装船和贮运。本部分适用于在海底敷设和运行条件下使用的额定电压500kV（Um=550 kV）单芯交联聚乙烯绝缘和光纤复合交联聚乙烯绝缘大长度海底电缆。注：符合本部分规定并按本部分试验方法和要求检验合格的大长度海底电缆及附件的认可范围可以覆盖相对于T/ZZB 1554.1—2020中3.7大长度定义长度较短的海底电缆。本部分不适用于海上浮动平台等使用的动态海缆。
